Hello. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and find out a little bit “About Me”.

My name is Doreen Frost and I am the designer, creator and life giver to these sweet little creatures & creations you will find here at Vermont Harvest Folk Art. I live in southern Vermont with my husband Mark and two amazing children. Jenna has recently graduated from Paul Smith's College & Kurt is currently a Junior there.

We live a simple life here on 10 beautiful acres. The wood which heats our home is cut from our land, each spring when the days grow warm and the cold still lingers at night, we tap our trees and produce our own Maple Syrup, in the summer we have a large vegetable and herb garden. We've been debating on whether to acquire a small flock of sheep, a few chickens and a hive or two of bees. However, as my business grows and my days becoming ever busier the possibility of animals seems a bit daunting.

For the most part, I am a self taught artist, although over the past year I’ve taken several classes on different techniques for doll making as well as on historical ways and traditions. I've always had a knack for creating things with my hands as well as a great love and excitement when I’ve brought something to life or completed a project myself. As a child I was always creating, building, drawing and baking. Throughout my school years, Home Economics and History were always my favorites.

Words can not express how very grateful I am for the path this creative journey has taken. I am absolutely thrilled and excited to be able to create from my heart and bring those creations to you.
