Our recent morning visitor...Mark thinks that perhaps she has a fawn in our field and that's why she is hanging about like she is....I just love her and would actually not mind if she nibbled in my garden now and then....if she needed to.

Here is a pair of Red-Bellied Woodpeckers....they are father and son actually.... they say thesare not common in our neck of the woods, the one guy, Ben I have named him, has been here for almost 4 years now. The first year he was here alone and in the Spring of his 2nd year he had a family. :) They are hard to see in the photo but if you click on it..it will enlarge the picture.

~Wondrous & Beautiful Winter~

A Sunday afternoon snow storm, homemade chicken soup simmering on the stove and the coziness of home....what could be better. This storm dropped almost two feet of snow this last December, just a week or so before Christmas...PERFECT!
