Lucas is the sweetest little fella. He is made from aged, curly sparse, light golden Mohair, has tiny French knot eyes, needle-sculpted facial features, cotton string whiskers, and arms, legs and a very long tail made from waxed Jute string. His wee ears are made from vintage creamy white wool. His dapper hat is made from aged paper and he wears a lovely soft blue wool scarf. He holds in his front paws a scrumptious blackened beeswax Walnut.

While out walking recently I’ve encountered a couple of silly little crows hopping here and there in the corn fields, chatting away with each other, not bothered by me in the least. They are fun to watch and are full of personality. The hopping made me smile and think of bunnies rather than birds…which is the reason Miss Althea the Crow is holding a carrot rather than an ear of corn! I think she is just the sweetest little thing!
Miss Althea is made from aged, painted and waxed Osnaburg. Her body and wings are stuffed with sawdust as well as some other sweet smelling tidbits! She is weighted with walnut shells, stands freely on her own and is actually a wee bit heavy. She smells amazing! She has a painted beak, aged cotton string French knot eyes and string jointed wings. She wears a hand stitched, gathered bodice dress made from aged cotton homespun in a lovely brown with ivory, dark green, black and soft pink stripes. For added decoration, her dress also has aged cotton string wrapped around the bodice. Her shawl and head scarf are made from aged Muslin. Her tiny carrot is made from Osnaburg, stuffed with sawdust and has green sisal stems. Althea measures 12 ½” tall.

This handsome fellow is made from Osnaburg and is stuffed with a fragrant combination of sawdust & pine needles. He has needle sculpted facial features, black French Knot eyes & hand forged antique nail legs. His entire body has been needle-felted with a wonderful creamy wool roving. I've also done a bit of scissor sculpting to give his fleece a more tailored appearance. He wears a brown wool blanket on his back, tied with aged twine and an aged twine collar with a small rusty bell attached. Measures 6 1/2" tall & 8" wide.
